BHSS Stockman's Banquet & Ball

The busy days of the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo test the endurance of all who attend. The Stockman’s Banquet and Ball held Wednesday evening allows all to draw a deep breath and enjoy the beautiful decorations, music, and camaraderie while dining on a fantastic beef meal at the Ramkota Convention Center.  We extend our congratulations to Margaret Nachtigall, Dan Piroutek and the Edgar Brothers for the honors to be bestowed on them during the Banquet and Ball. They are great representatives for the entire agriculture industry. [ More ]

Black Hills Stock Show Foundation steps into the spotlight each year during the Banquet and Ball to present the scholarship recipients with their $2000 scholarships. In 2011 thirty-three South Dakota high school seniors applied for the scholarships which can be renewed one time. Terry Taylor, BHSSF Director and Scholarship Chairman, feels it is so gratifying to choose six individuals who will go on to represent the best of all that is South Dakota youth!  Many of these winning students will pursue South Dakota careers supporting agriculture and the agricultural way of life through a variety of excellent and varied venues. Good luck to all of the winners and know that we will always be proud to have been a part of your educational goals.
